Newsletter September 2013

Special Edition Newsletter dedicated to divers and snorkelers of International Clean Up day.

The 3rd Saturday in September is always an exciting time of the year – it’s the Mermaids International Clean Up Day. Established in 2008 for Divers and Snorkelers to help clean the local environment of Koh Sak Island which was chosen for the event due to its location from Pattaya pier and being part of the busy tourist islands. This helps us to monitor the harmful effect caused by plastic and other materials thrown into the ocean.

2013 is the 6th Anniversary of this special day and we are taking to the waters on the 21st September 2013 and we need your help. Divers, snorkelers and passengers of all ages are welcome. Join us for the day by diving or snorkeling the shallow reefs and beach. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Residence Gardens Hotel is included as well as all equipment if you need it.Get your raffle tickets on the day to win prizes and your ICUD  T Shirt.

Ready to jump on the buses

The passionate Mermaids Divers and snorkelers who participate in the International clean up day each year don’t just pick up trash that endangers the health of humans, wildlife and coastal economies; they count every item as well. Many of the most commonly found pieces of trash include items we use every day from food wrappers to beverage containers to plastic bags. Make a difference to our local environment and join us on the day. For more information and to make your booking click on this link
