Birmingham Dive Show 2013


Mermaids exhibited at the Birmingham Dive Show in the UK for the 5th year running on 26th and 27th October 2013. It was great to catch up with old friends and meet new students and divers who will be joining us in 2014.


PADI Instructor Examinations


Congratulations to Mike Raab, Andre Lennette, Nathan Banks and Jessica Kristofferson on passing the IDC with Russell Martin, Course Director and his team. Andy Mead also received his PADI IDC Staff Instructor rating during this course. Well done everyone.


Mermaids IDC


The examinations took place in Pattaya the 19th and 20th November with Rob Scammell, Examiner and were followed by the BBQ on the evening for everyone to celebrate.


Aqualung Technical Training Course – Level 1


Mermaids hosted the Aqualung Technical Training course on 30th October.


Aqualung Technician Leve 1 training


The Technician course covers the theory and mechanism of the Aqua Lung regulator Calypso first and second stage and Powerline inflator with demonstration of service and maintenance.


Mermaids Golf Pro Raising Money For Charity


Mermaids sponsored Golf professional Andrew Scaife who also teaches at TPR Golf Academy, teamed up with his work colleague Tyrone Renglli to raise money on the “beat the pro challenge”. The professionals managed to raise 17,100 baht throughout the day contributing to a total of around 500,000 baht for the Camillian Charity.”

GoPro – Be a Hero


We have GoPro Hero 3+ at Mermaids Jomtien and Bangkok now. Hardware improvements for the new model are impressive, such as the lens, which is said to be 33 percent sharper, the battery that’s supposed to last 30 percent longer, and WiFi performance, which is four times faster than the GoPro 3. Koh Chang Trip 29th November to 1st December


Join the team from Mermaids on a private trip down to Koh Chang to dive the new wreck and more dive sites departing from Mermaids Jomtien on Friday 29th November.


On Saturday 30th November there will be HTMS Chang-712 (LST-898 USS Lincoln) wreck dive followed by dives on Koh Rong and Hin Rab. On Sunday 1st December, there will be another wreck dive followed by dives on Blueberry Hill and Hin Luk Baat. Depart Koh Chang at 5.00pm to return home.

The price is 9,900 baht per person including breakfast and lunch, 6 dives with equipment if needed and accommodation sharing a twin room. Single supplements apply. Transport is additional depending on where you leave from.

Mermaids Master Golf Tournament on December 7th 2013


It is our great pleasure to invite you to join the annual Mermaids Masters Golf Tournament 2013 taking place at the stunning Pleasant Valley Golf and Country Club, Chonburi on Saturday the 7th of December 2013.

Mermaids Golf Tournament

November 10, 2018 Two dives on the Bremen Wreck. The Bremen was sunk in 1920 and today is sitting on the seabed at around 24 meters. Covered in corals and full of life, this is a great dive to add to your logbook. The wreck is located between Pattaya and Samaesan. Due to the depth, at least PADI Advanced Open Water divers are allowed on this trip.
