Mermaids Dive Against Debris As part of our environmental commitment, we are now able to teach the new PADI Specialty – Dive Against Debris. This interesting course looks at the impact of marine debris or rubbish on the ocean and how it destroys habitats, damages infrastructure and makes beaches unattractive. Clean ups play an important part in making the ocean safe for marine life, but long term solutions will be achieved through actions that will stop rubbish entering the ocean. The Dive against Debris spec will add an important underwater perspective from us as divers to gain a clear picture of the extent of the marine debris problem.
