Rayong Pinnacles Dive Trip January 2019 - It was an early Saturday morning start but everyone was really excited to get going and dive the Pinnacles and the Petra Wreck on the way back to the pier. After checking in at Mermaids and getting dive equipment fitted, we were soon on our way. Reef Conservation with Bangkok Patana School - Reef Conservation is a big part of our diving life here at Mermaids and beyond our Clean Up the Beaches and Reefs efforts we have been working with Bangkok Patana School, Bangkok since 2012 in creating artificial reefs down in Samaesan. Harrows Ocean Warriors Clean Up - An amazing turnout from the Harrows Ocean Warriors Group from Harrows School, Bangkok on their Clean Up The Beach Trip on Saturday 12th January 2019. A staggering 230 people in total took part and ranged from the very small people to adults. Taking Pics Underwater - Photography is more than just pointing and shooting. Photography is about capturing more than just a moment. It’s about capturing an emotion. An emotion either felt by the viewer or displayed by the content. Nudibranchs aka Sea Slugs - Have you ever seen a slug on land in the garden? For those of you that have seen this odd animal would probably agree that slugs are not pleasant looking. Unfortunately for land dwelling slugs, they were not born with beauty in their DNA. However, there is hope for marine slugs. Mermaids International Clean Up The Reef and Beach Day - The last day of our 3 day events supporting #awareweek taking place around the world. We would like to thank all of our participants over the weeks for picking up trash and the 190 who went out this day. Mermaids International Clean Up Day 15th September 2018 - We’ve just completed our 2nd Mermaids International Clean Up Days with the 4th Annual Inter Schools Day on Saturday 15th September 2018. Whale Shark at Koh Rong Nang - Exciting day on board Mermaids 1 when divers spotted this beautiful Whale Shark just off of Koh Rong Nong in Samaesan. It's a rare opportunity for us to see Whale Sharks and especially at this time of the year but thanks to the quick actions of Andrew, PADI Divemaster, he captured it in all it's glory. Mermaids August Diving Mail - Koh Chang is coming up in November and it's the perfect weekend to get away with some great wreck diving thrown in. We leave Mermaids on Friday 16th November 2018 at 11am. We return back to Pattaya on Sunday 18th in the evening. Spotlight on Koh Sak Island - Here at Mermaids Dive Center, one of our dive boats, Mermaids 4, is located at Bali Hai Pier in Pattaya. From this pier, we have access to dive the islands neighboring the city. Islands such as Koh Larn and Koh Phi are just a few of the locations that provide an abundance of marine life to be enjoyed. Mermaids Diving Mail - The currents are in a twist on Saturday 12th August and it’s prefect drifting conditions onto the Hardeep Wreck. Spend the morning dive with a nice easy descent down the line onto the Hardeep and explore inside and out. In the afternoon we’ll drop in and drift towards the Hardeep and hit the wreck.
